Artist CV
Garry Moore is an artist exploring concepts of tactile interaction with natural environments as an pathway to alternate engagements with place.
Completing a Bachelor of Arts in Photography at RMIT in 1985, Garry embarked on a career as a professional commercial photographer. Garry has worked for close to forty years, both nationally and internationally, for some of the worlds largest corporations.
During his career, Garry maintained a strong personal art practice. After entering and becoming one of the winners of the Murray Art Museum Albury National Photography Prize, Garry decided to persue a Fine Art practice. In 2018 Garry completed a Masters of Fine Art at RMIT University. This enabled him to ground his art practice in a more philosophical and historical dialogue. The program expanded his practice both conceptually and methodologically. Garrys artwork now incorporates sculpture, video, sound and installation as methodologies, in conjunction with his existing photographic practice.
After completing the MFA program at RMIT, Garry has exhibited work in both solo and group exhibitions. He has also been selected to attend a number of Artist Residencies.
